Human cost of Slumdogs, Slum Mentality and Slum Policy

There is anger in some sections of Indian society, over the name of a movie which eventually got a big fem. The story of the movie is highly thought provoking and very true also. I have personally studied the seven slums of Delhi in 2002. I found many similar story during that time. It was an advantage to have a closer look on these poor people while living in metros like Mumbai and Delhi. You would see worse kind of human abuses in these slums, however there is also a chain of command and food pyramid. Many stay there to make money and exploit the poor. Some stay there as temporary arrangement but they never get out of that labyrinth - and make it permanent. Such slums have human cost, whoever live in scanty living space. However, due to their seer number, slums play important roles in Indian democracy.
