भूमिका: गत दिनों मुनव्वर राना साहब NDTV के एक कार्यक्रम पर आये. मैं उनकी शायरी का बहुत बड़ा प्रशंसक हुआ करता था. ये जनाब राय बरेली के हैं, और शायरी में बेजोड़ हैं. अपने समय के शीर्ष शायरों में इनको शुमार किया जाता है.     लेकिन उस NDTV वाले कार्यक्रम में मैंने इनका एक अलग ही चेहरा देखा. जो जिन्ना और तालिबान का मिला जुला प्रतीत हुआ: "तुम्हे हुकूमत मिली तुम गुजरात बनाते हो,  हमें  हुकूमत मिली हम दिल्ली बनाते हैं... हम  औरंगजेब हैं, हम अपनी खिचड़ी खुद पकाते हैं" मुनव्वर साब से ये मुल्लागिरी की उम्मीद नहीं थी. बहरहाल, उनको जवाब मिलना चाहिए: गुजरात याद रखते हो, काश्मीर भूल जाते हो,  कैसे सेकुलर हो अपना नाम भूल जाते हो... पोलिटिकली कर्रेक्ट होना तो बहुत आसान है,  हैरानी है कि हजारों की गयी जान भूल जाते हो... मज़हब की दूकान सरेआम चला लेते हो,  लेकिन अपना फ़र्ज़ और इमान भूल जाते हो... नोआखाली से रावलपिंडी तक कौम बना लेते हो,  और लाखों की गयी जान भूल जाते हो... आगजनी और लूट का अधिकार याद रखते हो,  और अपनी जमीं अपना हिंदुस्त...

It is ideology which changes the fate of nations and regimes, not the political parties.  Political parties may be or may not be just mere manifestation of some aspects of a particular ideology. The best example of this ideological manifestation was – the formation of Pakistan. The ideology, which gave birth to Pakistan was not invented by Muslim League but it was founded by  Sir Saiyyad Ahmad decades before it was materialized by the separatist party. This is the reason, all historians and intellectuals of modern India termed him as traitor. Interestingly,  such anti-national traitor got recent facilitation at JNU, in heart of capital India by the leaders of NSUI- a student wing of Congress.  I raised this questions to them too – why to celebrate a traitor's birthday. शायद मैंने तुम्हे बताया था कि system के खिलाफ लड़ने कि सनक मुझे पहले से ही थी। लेकिन अर्जुन सिंह और कांग्रेस के आरक्षण वाले फरमान ने सबको झकझोर दिया। पैसे वाले लोगों को कम नंबर पर ही admission मिलने वाला था और बाकियों को अधिक नंबर लाने के बाद भी गली का धुल फांकने को मजबूर किया जा रहा था। गुस्सा आना स्वाभाविक ही था। फिर हम लोगों के पास आन्दोलन के अलावा कोई चारा भी नहीं था। वे बहुत महत्वपूर्ण दिन थे जब हम साथ साथ हवालात गए , water cannon की मार सहे। हजारों लोग साथ थे , सबको गुस्सा था , सब में आक्रोश था। किन्तु समय बीता , सब अपनी अपनी राह में चले ... कुछ विदेश गए। कुछ ने MNCs की नौकरी पकड़ी। किन्तु तुम और तुम्हारे जैसे दीवानों ने तमाम बाधाओं के बावजूद जंग को जारी रखा। कौन जाता है बिहार में बाढ़ आती है तो , किसको पड़ी है अगर नेता लोग अपराधी हैं ... ये हमारा दीवानापन ही था हर्ष , की हम लोग की लड़ाई Youth For Equality के माध्यम से सालों तक चलती रह...
