॥ ~ अमित, १७ मार्च २०१३, लखनऊ (सर्वाधिकार सुरक्षित) Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Dharma Raksha

Aurangzeb was the most fanatic among mughal rulers, his Islamic expansion madness resulted in the conversion of Hindus into Islam all across the India. His religious intolerance is the darkest chapter in Indian medieval history. Not satisfied with mass demolition of temples and forceful mass conversion of Hindu, He decided thet if he could convert the revered Brahmin Pandits of Kashmir that millions of followers would then easily be converted. He issues orders to Kashmiri Pandits, convert to Islam or die... Threatened with conversion or death, the Pandits panicked. They came in a delegation to Chakk Nanaki, Pargana Kahlur and requested Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to help them. Hearing the serious nature of the conversation, Guru Ji's nine year old son Gobind Rai Ji told his father what the problem was. After hearing Pandits' trouble, Guru ji asked for the possible ways to deal with the problem. His son Gobind Rai responded "Who would be better than you to defend t...

Re-introducing Simply Yuva

Six years ago, I conceptualized this idea SimpyYuva.com to empower youths about their electoral rights, employment, society and the culture. http://simplyyuva.com when I researched about existing Youth portal I found the element missing. Hence I am re-introducing it with more objectives. Authors, bloggers, poet, cartoonists and photographers are most welcome as contributor. Let's have a personal revolution!!

I was told, truth prevails... But lairs got most of it. I was told honesty sails, But cheats made most of it. I was told, love wins all, But found it was nothing but calculations... They said, hard work pays, And by preaching they made millions. They call up on to help the suppressed, And they always wanted to be their leader... They call for justice, But saved the 'references' for own self purpose. They call up on revolution, But only as their power solution! Who are they?! Why can't they call the spade a spade?! They are made of all ourselves, The self core means and hidden agenda. The ethics are for 'others' 'Someone else' should speak the truth. Get me rich, suppressed will always be poor... That double faced bastard live though our situational hypocrisy. Let's get it straight, Be the mean but don't lie. Tell the truth that you do sell dreams... Tell people that one's self is best well-wishes. No preaching, no dream selling! Let...

The God of the Himalaya

It was a summer of our college days of JNU. While other guys went home in vacations, my entire class headed towards Himachal for the academic tour. And we have to study the physical geography. All of us were very excited as we were going to mighty Himalayas for the first time. Class was divided into several committees and I was convenor of academic committee, as I loved briefing my folks every morning about the tasks of the day. The tour was under supervision of our guru ji Prof Milap Chand Sharma, a world famous glaciers expert and our coolest professor. It was fun-learning experience as we learn geological history of the Himalayas along with the environmental importance of the mountains. We tracked up to the mouth of Beas river and also walked over the parent glacier of this river.  The natural beauty near Beas kund was amazing. Tough and rocky vertical tracking made it very adventurous. On due course, we met many mountaineering groups most on them were defence...

Discover the peace within

With insatiable need of our time, we are running behind many goals at a time. Fulfillment of multiple desires has been the only direction of our lifestyle. This race is often inspired by materialistic gains and comparisons. This situation lands us in several vulnerabilities. We have time for our desires, but not our true selves. This leads to anxiety, distress and further physical illness. Question arises, why we become our own enemies by creating such demon in mind? Well, with the help of circumstances and environment, our mind stimulates the emotions and these emotions are very naive and tender to get hurt. When our emotions are hurt, our thinking process starts hatching the negativity which creates the monster in our mine. Confucius once said, “Before Enlightenment Chop wood, Fetch Water! After Enlightenment, Chop Wood, Fetch Water. Even if we imply the word of Confucius in materialistic condition, it is much a valid philosophical theorem of practical life. If the aim o...

May All of Us Be Happy

It is often said "follow your heart" and be what you want to be. The examples given are Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Amithabh Bachhan and so on. It is true happiness is to do what you love to do. However, it's only one side of story, the other side always remains in darkness... Just like moon, we only see the brighter side of it. There are millions other who waste their potentials and talent just by following their heart and likings.  No one is a Steve Jobs until he/she becomes a CEO of the Apple. The person remains a broken guy who goes to Hare Krishna temple in search of good food. The point is, you essentially need a success story. There are many talented guys who are much more creative and active but they remain unknown till their last breath - living in a Oakwood banglow of North America or doing some tricks of Dharavi Slum of Mumbai. These guys are no less but things didn't click with them or they didn't think beyond the horizon.  The point is, yo...

Karma vs Wealth

After some stormy event of life, I look inward in search of some insight... Why things went wrong even if I was so right! The wisdom by own thinking... The great men's great teaching... All are for humanity... But was it worth doing! The system of victors and victims is in gain.. And my friends choose to be part of this chain, I stood apart the wanted to shake this train... Was I wrong to be wasted like drain? Good Karma is not seen through time, While wealth accumulates and shine, The power grows, so does pride... The world care only those who have it all, Might is always right, and wealthy have it all. With these thoughts I had a last smile.. But good karma is still like a flower of wilderness: Pure, upright and pristine. Free from the curse to live in polluted world, the rat race and bribe. Be that, what makes you right, Stand bold with no respite! Hail Karma... Its your Dharma :) Sent on my BlackBerry® from Vodafone

This day, a Bharatiya became World's Spiritual Emperor

On this day in 1893, a Bhagwa (Saffron) clad youth of India became spiritual emperor of the world. Swami Vivekananda's message  on September 11, 1893:  "Sisters and Brothers of America. [At this moment came the three minute standing ovation from the audience of 7,000] It fills my heart with joy unspeakable to rise in response to the warm and cordial welcome which you have given us. I thank you in name of the most ancient order of monks in the world; I thank you in the name of the mother of religions; and I thank you in the name of millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects. http://swamij.com/swami-vivekananda-1893.htm Sent on my BlackBerry® from Vodafone

The art of survival in this mean world!

With increasingly self centered life, we are facing a world where an individual is becoming more vulnerable to personal disasters like depression, anxiety, grieve, anger and insatiable worries. Interestingly all these topmost sorrows of our lives originate in our mind. We create them, we nurture them and we make them devil to fight against ourselves. Many choose to end their lives by accepting defeat in this battle, many choose a negative way of life, and millions other lose their peace of mind. Question arises, why we become our own enemies by creating such demon in mind? Well, with the help of circumstances and environment, our mind stimulates the emotions and these emotions are very naive and tender to get hurt. When our emotions are hurt, our thinking process starts hatching the negativity which creates the monster in our Mind.    Photo: Sahashtradar Chakra, the source of self-conciseness   In Buddhist philosophy, it is said that – “there are sorrows, and there are ...

This too will pass away!

All passion and obsessions are matter of time. The love, care and relation… everything is time bound. The society, culture and politics too dependent on ever changing time. The change is only constant. And time is only dimension. Every thing will pass away, not to wait, not to watch… play your part at best… rest will be history in your name. Because, human history is history of few men, who believed in themselves!

when you are in control

My three months at Bangkok have been unusual for a lone single male; as my friends say here. I dint go behind any glittery thing here - material or immaterial . Rather, I joined some spiritual discourse by Buddhist and Hindu sage and monks. For me, it was a big testing time for my own self awareness. I experimented with my thoughts, work, reaction of others and survival skills in not-so-alien land. These days in Bangkok taught me a good lesson for life, 'When you take control of your own life, nothing can happen with you beyond your wish. All worries including stress, anxiety, disappointments, sadness and existential crisis, just wither away. The self awareness becomes more profound and you feel what your wish to feel. This control over own consciousness could be gained by simple meditation focused on realization of self-existence.' No one, no reason and no matter can make you sad. So, you must take control of your own life.

Thoughts and Acts

[These thoughts are my reply to an important discussion. It is an answer to those questions raised there... so, questions are obvious hence excluded. ] War never resolve anything. But It decide the future course of Human Civilization ... Religion does not matter, but it is the only thing which can divide a country and people of same race and region. Sin and Virtue become dwarf when en-mass emancipation is called.. for a nation or for a culture. Indians who are indulge into favoritism, sex, corruption, money and all possible crime.. can be united with a greater call to save own existence. with these words. I must say to all. Keep your eyes open. don't fallow words being spread. Use your mind. :) Om tatsat!

Gem from Geeta!

I got to read this verse from Geeta: The supreme Lord said: "You are grieving for that which is not to be grieved for. Yet you are speaking like a great scholar. A true scholar would not worry about life that has ended or not ended." [Chapter 2 Verse 11] If we think seriously on this, it really provide solution of all tensions and depression. De attachment is a very good strategy.
