While addressing higher education in India, things like knowledge, skill enhancement, research, teaching, learning, books, infrastructure etc are secondary issues. The primary concern is who gets what based on one’s caste. Though, the caste-call is a main feature not only of Higher education and technical education… but also in all aspects of Indian life- Politics, Jobs, House Allotments, Govt Plans, Schemes, festivals and so on!    Here, we are citing a burning example of Higher education as it has practically less related with caste-capabilities and more related with learning process. Entrance tests and admission criteria are skewed based on caste and categories. One poor Brahmin student with higher scores cannot make in best universities of India but a rich Dalit student can get through with less marks. This arrangement is not only discriminating the poor Brahmin, but also depriving the poor Dalit. The greedy people are ripping all benefits of reservations...

तुम्हारे बाद, तुम्हारी याद ने अहसास कराया... कि मैं खुद को भूल सकता था तुम्हारे आगोश में। आज मैं, बस मैं बन कर रह गया हूँ। वो दिन क्या थे, जब मैं दुनिया का सितम सार माथे ले लेता था। भिखारियों के लिए रो लेता, मासूम मसखरों के लिए हँस लेता... और जब भी तुम्हारे पास आता, बस तुम्हारा ही हो जाता। बातों से ही कंधे का बोझ हल्का कर लेता, तुम भी खुशी से इसका साथ निभाती। तब शायद हमें हिसाब नहीं आता होगा। मैं तो वैसा ही रहा, अनकहा अहसास इस उम्मीद के सहारे दफ़न कर रखा था... लेकिन तुम्हे तुम्हरे हिसाब ने जीना सिखाया, और तुमको सुख देने वाला कोई और भी मिल गया। रास्ते अलग होगये अपने, तो बातें बहुत अहम् लगती थी, वो फिजूल की लगने लगी थी। पर मुझे कोई शिकवा नहीं, शायद दुनिया ऐसे ही चलती है। लोग मिलते हैं... पर हमेशा के लिए नहीं। कल शायद कोई और 'तुम' मिले। अदाकारा बदल जाए चाहे, कहानी तो उतनी ही हसीन होनी है। फिर मिलेंगे। 'तुम्हारा' मैं!

I love the chess! and have been an avid player during my college days. Lately, due to involvements in some political movements, I found politics is much like chess game.
